Business Management CTE Program
The following course work is part of our Business Management CTE program. The courses are based online through our partnership with Luzerne County Community College and are supplemented with Bloomsburg High School core courses. Business Basics is also taken as a course within the program. Interested students should contact the district CTE Coordinator, The Secondary Principal of Students and Programs, for more information.
Business Management - The goal of this CTE Program is to provide the basic foundation to prepare students for college or the workforce. Students will have the opportunity to use the most popular software available in college classrooms and business offices today. By enrolling in business and technology courses, students will have the opportunity to acquire a background in these areas prior to college enrollment or a career in business. Knowledge of business and technology is essential for today’s world and tomorrow’s future
Students have the flexibility to choose many Honors’ and/or AP level courses throughout the four years, many of which are Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) Concurrent Enrollment courses.

Students have the flexibility to choose many Honors’ and/or AP level courses throughout the four years, many of which are Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) Concurrent Enrollment courses. In addition, students have options to take Summer and Winter Session LCCC. Program courses, select concurrent enrollment courses and Summer and Winter Session courses can lead to an Associate’s Degree from LCCC upon Bloomsburg High School (BHS) graduation.

Education CTE Program
The following coursework is part of our Education CTE Program. The program is designed as a two-year program for students in their junior and senior years and is intended to provide students with an introduction to the field of education and careers working with children and youth. Coursework is supplemented with Bloomsburg High School core courses and may include some dual enrollment credit. Interested students should contact the district CTE Coordinator, The Secondary Principal of Students and Programs, for more information.
Education – The goal of this CTE Program is to provide students with a foundational understanding of the education profession and to prepare them for continued education or entry-level employment in education-related fields. Students will explore topics related to child development, teaching and learning, classroom environments, educational practices, and the responsibilities of educators and other professionals who work with children and youth. Through coursework and hands-on learning experiences, students will have the opportunity to develop communication, collaboration, leadership, and professional skills that are valuable in both college and the workforce.
Students may also have the flexibility to choose Honors and/or AP-level courses throughout their four years, many of which may be offered as Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) Concurrent Enrollment courses.
